Community news roundup for Palm Beach County
Kolter Communities' effort to turn the Boca Raton Executive Golf Course into a residential development has hit a roadblock, with some angry neighbors promising to stop the project.
A lawyer for the developers has asked the city for help. Mitchell Kirschner wrote the City Council and City Manager Leif Ahnell asking them to clarify the city's position on buying the property and turning it into a park.
"Certainly, it is the prerogative of those few residents to have their own opinions; however, it should not be their prerogative to have their own facts," Kirschner wrote.
The council asked Ahnell to let the neighbors know that the city has no plans to buy the golf course.
